Sadly, fast food is often your best bet at some airports (depending on the wing) since at least there is consistency there. This is why I like to carry snacks.

indeed, he’s quite a bright one and we try as much as possible to nourish his curiosity. The book is quite good. It’s more about the becoming of the Buddha, the history and the journey. It actually opened my curiosity on other religions as well…

The last pair I had bought really caused me pain until they were worn out. The new ones I got are really awesome though. But we were meant to run barefoot, really, so I wouldn’t be surprised those shoes cause us trouble.

honestly, if we didn’t so many darn cement and pavement all over the place I’d be running barefoot. I used to run barefoot all the time as a kid. Now I just miss it. I might actually go check out those special “5-fingered” “running” shoes which is meant to feel like running barefoot.

Congrats on the Spartan Race and good luck training for the marathon! Btw, see the article in the NYTimes “Well” section about how special shoes cause more injuries. Yup…all those stores that have us running around and sell us shoes “tailored” for our feet to correct our strides (or cushion, etc) may (“may”) be doing more harm than good. The advice: just wear what feels good on your feet.
The US Army did the study referenced in the article to see if there was science behind these shoes.

“life is not a rehearsal”. Wow, what a statement. As Michael Gerber says “don’t let the curtain down”. Both statements go so well together, life is live and in real-time. You put the curtain down and you go back in rehearsal mode. We have to stop practicing and do our live performance.
